Established in 1998, GIS provides hospitality services in international airports globally, based on a unique comprehension of today’s traveler. Our goal is to lead the future of airport hospitality. We have a wide offer of services that allows us to cover all passengers’ needs during their trips. Our main expertise & services are common-use lounge, tailor-made lounge management, terminal airport hotel, meet&greet services and lounges & loyalty digital programs.
The company started providing facility management services and organizing corporate events. Its main projects were the management of World Trade Center Barcelona, Palacio de Congresos de Toledo and Mont Sant Benet. GIS diversified its activity in 2008, when the company won the concession to build and manage 9000m2 of premium & innovative hospitality services (lounges, business center, meet&greet, AirRooms, wellness) in Barcelona Airport. In 2015, GIS became the leading Spanish company of airport hospitality services and Aena’s main provider in its main airports. In 2017, GIS starts its internationalization in Europe & LATAM managing Iberia’s lounges. After these achievements, GIS pivoted its business from facility management to airport hospitality. From 2015 to now, GIS has expanded its footprint from Barcelona Airport to more than 12 airports, 8 countries, 24 lounges & welcomed more than 3.5M passengers/year around the globe.
In 2019, GIS was acquired by TAV Operation Services (TAV OS), a 100% subsidiary of TAV Airports. TAV Airports, a global force in the aviation industry, is also a member of Groupe ADP. The core business of TAV OS, a leading company in airport hospitality services, is lounge operation management and its expertise is to offer customers the best experience through their airport journey with the extensive services designed with customer centric approach. After GIS joins the TAV OS Family, the Group presence extended to 16 countries, 32 airports, 55 lounges and 1000+ employees.
